After her second pregnancy in 2021, Preeti faced health challenges, including gestational diabetes, which led to significant weight gain and a decline in fitness. Determined to regain her vitality, she embarked on a journey of transformation in late 2022, committing to regular gym workouts and strict dietary discipline. Encouraged by her progress and supported by her family, Preeti decided to embrace the challenge and confirmed her participation in July. The journey was both demanding and transformative. As a first-timer in the world of pageantry, Preeti faced a steep learning curve. Ramp walk training, led by the legendary supermodel of India, Nayanika Chatterjee—who has mentored icons like Priyanka Chopra—proved to be her greatest challenge. Yet, through perseverance and guidance, Preeti gradually mastered the nuances of the catwalk. Additional preparations included intensive fitness routines, honing her stage presence, and embracing the spirit of competition.
When the much-anticipated event unfolded in the picturesque city of Udaipur, Preeti found herself among a group of inspiring participants. Despite battling jet lag, she quickly bonded with her fellow contestants and poured her heart into last-minute rehearsals. The effort paid off: Preeti emerged as a Top 10 finalist and took home the coveted Marvelous Catwalk crown, a testament to her resilience and dedication.
Looking ahead, Preeti is eager to return to her dual roles at work and at home while continuing her wellness journey. However, her ambitions extend beyond personal achievements. She envisions establishing an NGO in India focused on advancing education for girls, a cause close to her heart. Preeti firmly believes that education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty and create opportunities for young girls to thrive. Her goal is to empower future generations while fostering sustainable models for long-term community impact in India.
