Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 14: The IEEE Computer Society, Galgotias University Student Branch Chapter has been awarded the Best Computer Society Chapter in India at the prestigious All India Computer Society Student & Young Professionals Congress 2025 (AICSSYC 2025) held at Kolkata. The chapter secured 1st place in the national “Battle of Chapters”, based on their innovative technical activities, community involvement and excellent leadership. The outstanding performance by the students won the cash prize of USD 500.
The achievement was led by a dedicated student team from Galgotias University, Gaurang Pant, pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Shubhranshu Shekhar Dash, a B.Tech student of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) & Rashi Bajpai, a student of B.Sc. Computer Science (Data Science).
This award also represents Galgotias University’s high level of innovation, leadership, and academic excellence that supports students in engaging with worldwide professional communities and receiving national recognition for their contributions.
