Jeevesh Sabharwal
New Delhi [India], October 13: Businessman and philanthropist Jeevesh Sabharwal is developing a Public Emergency Assistance Helpline initiative aimed at helping individuals and families facing difficult circumstances identify appropriate support services and navigate emergencies.
Planned to be coordinated from an office in Gulmohar Park, New Delhi, the initiative aims to provide a structured point of contact for people who may be unsure where to seek help during unexpected situations. The proposed service will focus on guidance, referrals and coordination with relevant support organisations, subject to the nature of each case and the availability of assistance.
Jeevesh Sabharwal’s Previous Initiatives Provide the Foundation
In January 2024, published coverage reported plans for senior citizen care facilities, including a geriatric care facility in Gulmohar Park intended to accommodate up to 200 residents. In April 2026, The Tribune reported Jeevesh Sabharwal’s offer of free accommodation in Dubai for travellers stranded amid flight disruptions. A July 2026 Republic World report stated that the Kailashan Vidhya Vyas Foundation had facilitated 1,809 free Shivling installations across India, alongside reported community support activities.
From Individual Assistance to a Structured Support System
During an emergency, identifying the right organisation can be difficult, particularly for individuals who lack an established support network or are unfamiliar with available services. The proposed helpline aims to address this challenge through a defined process for receiving requests, understanding the situation and identifying appropriate referral options.
Depending on the circumstances, assistance may involve connecting callers with established service providers, relevant charitable organisations or official public services. The programme is intended to complement existing emergency services rather than replace police, ambulance services, government agencies or other statutory authorities.
A Focus on Practical Community Support
The Gulmohar Park office is intended to serve as the coordination base for the programme. The initiative may also provide opportunities to work with relevant service providers, charitable organisations and government departments where appropriate arrangements can be established. Any formal government collaboration should be described only once confirmed.
Measuring Success Through the Assistance Provided
The long-term value of an emergency assistance initiative depends on the practical help it enables. Clear procedures, responsible handling of personal information and transparent reporting will be important to its implementation. Operational details, including the helpline number, service coverage, launch date and procedures for requesting assistance, should be communicated once confirmed.
