Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 16: HSNC University, Mumbai, marked its 3rd Convocation on 9th January 2025, with the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnanji, also the Chancellor of the HSNC University, presiding over the ceremony. The event was graced by dignitaries including Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Provost of HSNC University; Col. Dr. Hemlata K. Bagla, Vice Chancellor; and Mr. Anil Harish, President & Trustee of the HSNC Board.

During the ceremony, Governor Radhakrishnanji conferred gold medals to 37 outstanding students. He also presented a special citation to Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, acknowledging his contributions as he completed his tenure as Provost. The citation, signed by Vice Chancellor Dr. Bagla, celebrated Dr. Hiranandani’s leadership and vision for the University.

In his inspiring address, Governor Radhakrishnanji emphasized the importance of lifelong learning, resilience, and utilizing knowledge for the greater good of society. Drawing lessons from the Mahabharata, he encouraged graduates to face challenges with perseverance, prioritizing self-care, personal growth, and avoiding comparisons with others. Reflecting on his own life, he shared how setbacks can pave the way to future success.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Bagla outlined the University’s achievements and its future roadmap, including plans to expand academic programs and introduce new schools. She also highlighted the University’s successful implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and its ongoing commitment to skill development. Dr. Hiranandani recounted the University’s journey, detailing how it thrived even during the pandemic.

Mr. Anil Harish lauded the University’s growth and congratulated the graduates, urging them to embrace curiosity, creativity, and resilience in their future endeavors.

The event also witnessed the inauguration of a newly beautified traffic island near the Worli campus, which now features lush greenery and a water fountain. This initiative is part of the University’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community development.
