Two-day Bengaluru summit — with West Bengal Finance Minister Dr. Swapan Dasgupta as Chief Guest — convenes IT majors, Global Capability Centres, investors and startups around the theme “From Innovation to Integration.”
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 11: The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I), in association with Infinity Group, successfully concluded the 4th edition of the Tech E Summit in Bengaluru on 6–7 August 2026, bringing together policymakers, global enterprises, technology leaders, investors, GCCs, startups and ecosystem enablers to explore the next phase of technology-led growth.
Held under the theme “From Innovation to Integration: Powering the Next Wave of Tech Entrepreneurship,” the two-day summit emerged as an important platform to strengthen the economic and technology connect between West Bengal and Bengaluru, while showcasing the growing opportunities emerging from Eastern India.
The Summit was graced by Dr. Swapan Dasgupta, Hon’ble Finance Minister, Government of West Bengal, as the Chief Guest. His participation underscored the state’s growing focus on engaging directly with technology enterprises, investors and global businesses to accelerate investment and create new avenues for economic growth.

Representatives from Wipro, Infosys, ANSR, Cognizant, Concentrix, Tredence, Wells Fargo, Northern Trust, ITC Infotech, Accenture, HCLTech, British Telecom (BT), Zinnov, among others, participated in the interaction.
The roundtable provided an opportunity for the participating companies to share their perspectives on operating in West Bengal, investment opportunities, talent availability, infrastructure, ease of doing business and the areas where further industry-government collaboration can unlock growth.
The interaction also reinforced the growing relevance of Kolkata and West Bengal as an emerging destination for GCCs, technology services, digital engineering and innovation-led enterprises.
GCCs, Age-Tech and Eastern India’s Innovation Advantage
Adding another dimension to the Summit, Aninda Das, Vice President – Marketing, Infinity Group, curated and moderated a high-powered session titled:

The discussion explored how GCCs are evolving beyond traditional cost-arbitrage models, and how Eastern India can leverage its talent pool, strategic geography, infrastructure and emerging innovation ecosystem to become a preferred destination for the next generation of global enterprises.
A significant focus was also placed on Age-Tech and the longevity economy—an emerging opportunity where technology, healthcare, senior living, wellness and financial services converge. The panel discussed how India’s ageing population can create an entirely new technology and innovation ecosystem, and how cities such as Kolkata can potentially become early leaders in this space.

The Summit also highlighted the natural complementarities between Bengaluru and Kolkata—two cities with strong technology, intellectual capital and entrepreneurial traditions.
