Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 11: The 4th edition of the Tech E Summit, organised by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) in partnership with Infinity Group, wrapped up in Bengaluru on 6–7 August 2026 after drawing together policymakers, global corporates, technology leaders, investors, GCCs, startups and ecosystem enablers to chart the next phase of technology-driven growth.
Themed “From Innovation to Integration:
Powering the Next Wave of Tech Entrepreneurship,” the two-day event became a key meeting ground for deepening the economic and technology ties between West Bengal and Bengaluru, spotlighting the rising opportunities in Eastern India.
Dr. Swapan Dasgupta, Hon’ble Finance Minister, Government of West Bengal, attended the Summit as Chief Guest — a presence that reflected the state’s increasing push to engage directly with technology firms, investors and global businesses in order to drive investment and open new avenues for economic development.

Representatives from Wipro, Infosys, ANSR, Cognizant, Concentrix, Tredence, Wells Fargo, Northern Trust, ITC Infotech, Accenture, HCLTech, British Telecom (BT), Zinnov, among others, took part in the discussion.
The roundtable gave these companies a platform to share their experience of operating in West Bengal, touching on investment potential, talent availability, infrastructure, ease of doing business, and areas ripe for deeper industry-government cooperation.
The conversation also underlined Kolkata and West Bengal’s rising stature as a destination of choice for GCCs, technology services, digital engineering and innovation-driven enterprises.

In another key session, Aninda Das, Vice President – Marketing, Infinity Group, curated and moderated a high-powered panel titled: “The Next Growth Frontier: GCCs, Age-Tech & Eastern India’s Innovation Advantage”. The session gathered leaders from technology, real estate, senior living, consulting and enterprise backgrounds to discuss how the convergence of Global Capability Centres (GCCs), emerging technologies and the fast-growing longevity economy could unlock new growth avenues for Eastern India.

Panellists examined how GCCs are moving past traditional cost-arbitrage models, and how Eastern India’s talent base, strategic location, infrastructure and emerging innovation ecosystem position it as a preferred hub for the next generation of global enterprises.
Considerable attention was also given to Age-Tech and the longevity economy — a growing space where technology, healthcare, senior living, wellness and financial services intersect. The panel considered how India’s ageing population could give rise to an entirely new technology and innovation ecosystem, with cities like Kolkata well placed to emerge as early leaders.

The Summit also drew attention to the natural synergies between Bengaluru and Kolkata — two cities known for their strong technology base, intellectual capital and entrepreneurial spirit.
