Company targets 50,000 MT in Q1, with 25,000 MT each for JSTL 550 SHD and Birla King 550 XHD; five of 14+ JSTL units already in production
New Delhi [India], August 24: Khyati Contech Private Limited is expanding its presence in India’s branded TMT market with a new manufacturing partnership with Z9 Steels Private Limited, a rapidly growing JSTL 550 SHD manufacturing network and the addition of a second licensed TMT brand from The Yash Birla Group.
The company said 14+ JSTL 550 SHD manufacturing units have been established or are being commissioned across India within 90 days. Five of the units have already commenced production, while production at the remaining units is expected to begin within the next few days.
Khyati Contech has also set a 50,000 MT first-quarter sales target, divided equally between its two licensed TMT brands — 25,000 MT for JSTL 550 SHD and 25,000 MT for Birla King 550 XHD.
Yash Birla Group licence adds second TMT brand
On August 21, 2026, Khyati Contech secured a TMT brand licence from The Yash Birla Group for Birla King 550 XHD, adding a second branded TMT proposition to its portfolio.
Khyati Contech’s TMT portfolio now comprises:
- JSTL 550 SHD — licensed from/associated with the DS Jindal Group
- Birla King 550 XHD — licensed from The Yash Birla Group
The company said the Birla King licence gives it an additional platform for its national TMT expansion strategy.
Z9 Steels to serve as Manufacturing Partner
Under the new arrangement, Z9 Steels Private Limited will serve as a Manufacturing Partner for Khyati Contech, supporting production and supply as the company scales its branded TMT business.
Khyati Contech’s business model combines brand licensing, manufacturing partnerships, sales, distribution and market development.
The company focuses on developing licensed brands, building sales channels, managing distribution and entering new markets. Manufacturing partners support production and supply, allowing Khyati Contech to build capacity across multiple locations without relying entirely on company-owned facilities.
The model is also intended to help align manufacturing closer to regional demand and improve the company’s ability to expand into new markets.
14+ JSTL units, five already producing
The JSTL 550 SHD rollout has been central to Khyati Contech’s manufacturing expansion.
According to the company, its JSTL network has grown to 14+ manufacturing units within a 90-day period. Five units are already producing, while the remaining units are expected to commence production shortly.
The distinction between the overall network and operational units is significant: the company is building out the manufacturing footprint while bringing individual facilities online in phases.
The next priority is therefore to coordinate production, inventory, distribution and sales as more capacity becomes operational.
Management focuses on execution
Avinash Kumar Bhatt, CMD, Khyati Contech Private Limited, said the company was moving from capacity creation to market execution.
“The last 90 days have been focused on building the manufacturing network. Five JSTL units are already in production and the remaining units are expected to start shortly. Our focus now is to build the market around that capacity and scale both brands.”
Vinod Aggarwal, Managing Director, Z9 Steels Private Limited, said the manufacturing partnership would focus on keeping production and supply aligned with market requirements.

Yuvraj Arora, CEO, Khyati Contech Private Limited, said the first-quarter target would provide a clear measure of commercial execution.
“The manufacturing capacity is being built at speed. The next step is to convert that capacity into sales. We have set a target of 25,000 MT for each brand in the first quarter, and the focus now is on execution.”
50,000 MT target puts the model to test
Khyati Contech is targeting 25,000 MT of JSTL 550 SHD and 25,000 MT of Birla King 550 XHD, taking the combined first-quarter target to 50,000 MT.
The target comes as the company builds out its manufacturing network, adds a second licensed TMT brand and strengthens its production capabilities through the Z9 Steels partnership.
The immediate challenge will be to match manufacturing capacity with demand, inventory availability and distribution across markets.
The first quarter will now be closely watched as Khyati Contech moves from building manufacturing capacity to proving demand for its two licensed TMT brands.
