A first-generation entrepreneur, Dr. Abburi has spent over three decades contributing to India’s Aerospace and Defence Electronics ecosystem, driving innovation and self-reliance through indigenous research and development. He is the Founder of Avantel, and his professional journey spans design, finance, and software before beginning his entrepreneurial path in 1993.
An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, JNTU Kakinada, and Osmania University, Dr. Abburi holds a PhD from JNTU-Hyderabad, MTech in Microelectronics, MBA, and BTech in ECE. He hails from Taduvai Village in Andhra Pradesh and has made Hyderabad his home since the early eighties.
His latest work, Flower – The Way for Peace, is his second book, following his debut title, Who Am I (2015), which explored the scientific perspectives on consciousness, purpose, and the meaning of life. This new offering draws inspiration from the teachings of Lord Buddha and his symbolic gesture of holding a flower — a moment representing the silent transmission of wisdom.
Through this metaphor, Dr. Abburi presents the “Flower’s Way of Life” — a path rooted in beauty, serenity, impermanence, and transformation. The book invites readers to embrace the noble eightfold path as taught by Gautama Buddha, cultivating loving-kindness, compassion, altruistic joy, and equanimity.
