New Delhi [India], September 4: RG Records, a brand-new music label, proudly announces the launch of its debut music video “Bandi Pighal Gayi.” With this release, RG Records steps into the music industry with a mission to promote fresh talent, soulful music, and innovative storytelling.
The track is sung by the talented Megha Kishore, a versatile Indian playback singer celebrated for hit songs like Raula Pai Gaya, Birthday, Taare Tuttange, and Yaad Nahi Karde. Megha is admired not only for her powerful and melodious voice but also for her signature curly-haired look, which has often led to comparisons with Neha Kakkar. She has also collaborated with and toured extensively alongside Mika Singh, performing at shows across India and abroad. Speaking about their bond, Megha fondly shares, “Mika ji calls me bhatiji and I call him chachu… after a show, Mika ji prefers to play Ludo with all of us.” Her expressive voice brings life and soul to Bandi Pighal Gayi, making it an unforgettable debut for RG Records.
The music and lyrics have been beautifully composed by Oye Kunaal, while Sahil Sharma has directed the video, translating the emotions of the track into a cinematic experience.
The video features Shanaya Khanna (screen name, also known as Monika), an accomplished actress and assistant director from Kishtwar, Jammu & Kashmir. Shanaya has worked on internationally acclaimed films and web series such as Mantostaan, Shakkar Masala, Pakkad, Anamika the Missing Girl, Side A & Side B, Manju and Juliet Ki Electric Prem Katha, and Asylum. Her projects have streamed on major OTT platforms, including Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar, and Jio Cinemas. A trained dancer and theatre performer, Shanaya brings both grace and depth to her role in the video.
Joining her on screen is Bhumik Garg, a rising star in the entertainment industry. After gaining recognition for his performance in the music album Nakhra, Bhumik continues to impress audiences with his fresh energy and screen presence. His chemistry with Shanaya Khanna adds charm to Bandi Pighal Gayi, enhancing the storytelling through performance.
The project was conceptualised by Obed Afridi, who worked as a casting director for 15 years in the industry, especially in Punjab, and this album was passionately produced under the banner of RG Records.
